Weather Threatens IPL 2025 Final

The highly anticipated IPL 2025 final featuring Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru faces potential disruption due to adverse weather conditions. The Ahmedabad Meteorological Department has forecasted a cloudy sky with light to moderate rain expected in various parts of the city on Tuesday, June 3.

Historic Opportunity for RCB and PBKS

This year's final presents a unique opportunity for both teams, as neither has previously secured the IPL trophy. Royal Challengers Bengaluru are making their fourth appearance in the final, still seeking their first victory after several near misses. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings are returning to the final for only the second time since 2014. Both teams are eager to claim their first championship, hoping that weather conditions do not overshadow the match.

Weather Forecast for RCB vs PBKS

As per AccuWeather, rain is anticipated throughout the day, with the evening expected to be partially cloudy. The temperature is projected to be around 30 degrees Celsius, accompanied by 43% cloud cover.

Rain Predictions for the Final

"Our forecast suggests light to moderate rainfall in isolated areas, particularly affecting Ahmedabad and its surroundings. The temperature is expected to reach approximately 37 degrees, with a high chance of overcast skies," stated Arunkumar Dasane, director of the Ahmedabad weather department.

Contingency Plans for Rain

Should the rain persist, a reserve day has been allocated, moving the IPL Final to June 4. However, if rain also affects the reserve day, the team that finished at the top of the league standings will be declared the champions.

Impact of Weather on the Final

Weather conditions are always a crucial factor as the final approaches. Although Ahmedabad was selected as a relatively safe venue, intermittent rain could still cause delays or interruptions. Fans and both franchises are eagerly monitoring weather updates, hoping for clear skies to ensure a full match in what promises to be an exciting and historic final.
